The Moffat Golden Eagle Festival returns to Scotland's First and Only 'Eagle Town' this September (12-14).

It's shaping up to be another fantastic weekend in Moffat, celebrating the Golden Eagle with some great food & drink, live music and events for all ages.

Moffat Nature Explorer Tour with Nature Scotland

Join Ewan Miles on the Moffat Nature Explorer Tour of southern Scotland to search for Golden Eagles, Peregrine, Osprey, Red Kite and much more! Hot drinks and biscuits provided. Bring a packed lunch for this fantastic, all-day experience!

Visit the heart of southern 'Eagle Country' on this fascinating tour of Devils Beef Tub with Borders Forest Trust staff. Keep an eye on the sky for your chance to encounter one of the translocated Golden Eagles who now call the hills around Moffat their home.

MEET AN EAGLE WITH RHUALLAN RAPTORS

A chance to get a close look at a falconry Golden Eagle with George of Rhuallan Raptors. Meet Riecher, a male Golden Eagle and Nelson, a male White-tailed Eagle for a chance to compare both species in real life!

Nick is joined by Restoring Upland Nature's very own CEO, DR CAT BARLOW, who will be introducing the audience to the new charity, and updating us on the progress of the South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project.
