The Wright Strokes #5 - Sketches from Eagle Country
Lockdown Daily Blog #47 - The latest edition of The Wright Strokes follows C09 (Edward) hunting rabbits on a huge warren in the South of Scotland. John describes Edward's hunting technique below:
'C09 would cross the area quickly then stoop at a Rabbit as they ran for their burrows. He would land next to a hole and peer inside for a few minutes before leaving the area for 20 minutes or so before returning.'
Whilst Eagle Officer John Wright observed Edward hunting he also watched Goshawk and Hen Harrier as well as multiple Red Kite and Buzzards over the same area - a pretty good day in the field!
