The Wright Strokes #6 - Sketches from Eagle Country
The latest sketches from our Eagle Officer, John following his most recent encounter with our young eagles. These sketches show Skan (C17), Emily (121) and Edward (C09) in moult. Click on the images for a more detailed view.
For Golden Eagles, moult begins in March or April each year, running through to September or October. The distinctive white patches which are prominent on young eagles will become darker with age.
Skan (C17) sighted in the Lammermuir Hills
A Gamekeeper in the Lammermuir Hills had a lucky encounter with Skan (C17), our youngest male Eagle earlier this month.
Seton Gordon, and Cain and Abel.
In this week's Eagle People Profile #9 Project Board member Des Thompson urges us to read the works of Seton Gordon.
Eagle People Profiles #8 - Gidona Goodman
This weeks Eagle People Profile #8 features Gidona Goodman, part of the conservation medicine team at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies.
Whilst we can't get out and about we have had the time to progress one or two other projects including our new information leaflet.
