Buccy (261) is a male golden eagle who was named and adopted by The Buccleuch Arms Hotel in Moffat.
Buccy came from an estate in the Highlands and was translocated to the south in 2022 as part of the summer releases.
Sadly, one of the youngest translocated Golden Eagles, Sula (B50) was discovered dead on the afternoon of 11th February 2023 at Queensbury Estate, Dumfries & Galloway.
Meet Rowan (H33) and Fergus (H42), two sub-adult Golden Eagles translocated from the Western Isles during the last two winter releases.
With plans for the Moffat 2023 Golden Eagle Festival well under way, we look back on last years festival and look forward to this coming September in Moffat!
Ragnar (G5 26) is a male golden eagle and the was the smallest of the 2022 eagles, weighing in at 3.5kg.
